An early dental emergency taught him exactly how it feels to sit in the chair, afraid and in pain. "Someone in pain and afraid? I've been there. I know how to explain what's happening and get them out of pain fast."
Trained at Indiana University
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Indiana University School of Dentistry — "where science, artistry, and empathy collide" — before bringing his practice to Colorado.
Dentistry in the blood
He continues a family tradition of dentistry — his father is an orthodontist, and both his younger brother and sister followed the same path. Caring for people's smiles is, quite literally, the family business.
Building his own practice
Twelve years into his career — eight of them running his own practice — Dr. Hoagburg now leads care at Lowry Advanced Dentistry in Denver, with additional locations at Littleton Advanced Dentistry and Swiss Smiles & Implants in Englewood.

Rooted in Colorado
A lifelong dream to live near the mountains brought him from Indiana in 2021. A snowboarder, hiker, and live-music devotee, he's now proud to serve the Lowry and Denver community "for many years to come."
